PowerPoint Upload Instructions

Making a post with the label "powerpoints" will make it visible under the "PowerPoints" tab.  Uploading each powerpoint is trickier.  This took a while to figure out.  In order to upload a powerpoint to the blog, you must:

1. Upload the powerpoint to google docs.
2. Click on the powerpoint within google docs.
3. Click "Share" in the upper right corner.
4.  Under "Who has access," change it to "public on the web." (Be sure to save.)
5.  Go to "File" (left side), click it, then click on "embed link."
6.  This will give you a block of HTML code.  Copy it.
7.  Go to "Create a new post."  On the left side, underneath the site's name (Prof, S. Stehlik's...), switch the input from "Compose" to "HTML."
8.  Paste the HTML here.

Then you can publish.  The entire presentation will be visible on one page.  A student can click through the slides without having to download the presentation.

If there are any details about the powerpoint that you'd like to add, switch from "HTML" back to "Compose" before typing.

Please let me know if you have any clarifying questions, or if a powerpoint won't upload (or isn't visible on the site).
